"Dear Fr. Suarez, I am sorry for taking so long in giving you this testimonial. I wrote my story and as I came to the end of typing it, somehow I lost it all and could not recover it. However, I am starting all over again. I guess this all really started when my brother-in-law Ernie was touched and healed through you last year. I and so many others just could not believe how Ernie no longer needed his walking stick and after about 12 long suffering years had his life again. He looked and said he felt amazing and also did not need to take his medication again "Praise the Lord". I was always a little skeptic before this, but with Ernie's healing right in front of my eyes, I started believing properly again. Ernie mentioned that you were going to be in Essex too (soon after his healing) and of course I had to be there. I wanted you to pray and to completely heal my son Declan through me. My son had a major brain surgery in 2008 and through the prayers of all our families and friends he survived through the surgery. Declan obviously still suffered in his mobility and speech but is almost back to normal now. He is 16 years of age and sitting his GCSE exams this year. As you can well understand my anxiety for him to do well as he still had the ability but has lost his self-confidence, focus and motivation. He started going out with boys that just did not care about studing. He still has four more exams to go through this month and if you have a moment please keep him in your prayer. At the healing mass last year I stood next to my sister-in-law to get your healing hands over us. As we stood there you first lightly tapped my shoulder and then hers. We both looked at each other and felt we needed more than a tap, so we went to the back of the queue to come back to be touched by you. We felt silly but we still did it. You again just tapped us again - we thought that perhaps our time to be healed was not then. We purchased many rosary bracelets and I always wore mine. I must add here that I took a few photos with my mobile phone of you amongst the crowd and as you were chucking the holy water from your bottle at us, I took another photo of you. When I got home very late that night, I browsed through my photos and could not believe the last photo was one of a picture of a scan of a baby in a womb type. I kept looking at it in all angles and could not understand the picture at all. I then showed it to others who said the same thing that it was a picture of a baby in a womb. I would have sent that picture to you now but don't really know how to send the picture from my phone to computer but I will as soon as I do. In August that same year my family decided to go to Turkey on a vacation. On arriving in the middle of the night at our pre-booked hotel, we could not believe how awful the amenities were specially for the children (I have a little girl of 9 years old too called Chloe). Both my husband and I decided to move out of this hotel the next morning. We started looking for an alternative hotel and managed to find one after walking around in the heat of the day. Next door to the hotel was a little shop run by a husband and wife. We often picked our drinking water and stuff like that from them. They got to know us and a couple of days later the lady invited me to sit outside the shop and drink a cup of tea with her. My family were only yards away on the beach, so I agreed. We did this quite often and she would chat with me about her problems of not being able to conceive again (she already had a son of 13 years old) and has been trying for about 12 years or so. She longed for a baby and she had seen so many specialists and they could do nothing for her. She started to cry one time and I felt quite sorry for her so I took the rosary bracelet that I was wearing out of my wrist and told her to keep these close to her and to occasionally rub them on her tummy. I then told her the story of my brother-in-law Ernie's healing through you and told her that the rosary was blessed by you. We were there for a 2 week holiday and I saw her wear the bracelet everyday we were there and she told me how every night after her shower she rubbed her tummy with the rosary. In fact after about 2 days she said that she had felt better within herself and much happier. I said to her that I was glad and that with prayers "what will be will be". After about 5/6 weeks of being back home I had a phone call from her from Turkey. The line was really bad and I could bearly hear her but all I can remember so clearly is her announcement that she is having a baby. I was utterly dumbfounded and could not speak for a second or two. I told her how happy I was and that we should continue praying and thanking God.Wow.. isn't that the nicest thing that could have happened. Thank you Fr. Fernando for all you do through the grace of God. Please keep all our families in your prayer when you have a moment or two and in turn I will also pray for you and your wonderful work.
